A bit about Hannah and how she got into the industry

My name’s Hannah, and I’m the owner of Renata Cosmetics based in Bishopbriggs, Glasgow. I’ve always had a real passion for art and creation, and I wanted to pursue a career that combined that creativity with helping people feel good about themselves. What started as a love for makeup and design naturally evolved into a career in aesthetics and semi permanent makeup. I love that I get to use my artistic skills to create results that not only enhance someone’s features but also boost their confidence in such a meaningful way.

Why did you decide to train in SPMU?

I trained in SPMU because I was obsessed with the idea of enhancing natural beauty in a way that’s soft, subtle, and long lasting. I loved that it wasn’t just makeup — it’s artistry and precision with real emotional impact. Seeing how brows or lips can completely transform a person’s confidence drew me in straight away, and I knew I wanted to master that skill to the highest standard.

What’s your favourite procedure to perform and why?

Definitely ombré lip blush. I love how it can completely rejuvenate someone’s face — adding warmth, symmetry, and definition without filler. It’s such a satisfying process from mapping to shading, and seeing the healed results never gets old. Every lip is different, and it’s such a creative, therapeutic treatment to perform.

What is your favourite part of your job?

Seeing the reaction when clients look in the mirror for the first time. It’s the best feeling knowing you’ve helped someone feel beautiful and confident again. I also love connecting with people - every client has their own story, and it’s such a privilege to be part of that.

What’s been your proudest moment of your career so far?

My proudest moment has been getting my own place and building a fully booked, full time business doing something I truly love while being a mum and juggling life. It’s been such an empowering feeling to create a career that doesn’t even feel like work — where I wake up excited every day knowing this is something I built completely on my own.

What is your favourite Cosmedic Supplies product?

Without a doubt, the Luna Cartridges! The precision and smoothness make such a difference to my work. I use them for all of my SPMU procedures — especially lip blush, they give me complete control and consistency every time. I also love how reliable and hygienic the packaging is; it just elevates the whole client experience.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

In 5 years, I see Renata Cosmetics as a fully established studio and training academy — a space that’s known for luxury, education, and artistry. I want to be mentoring a team of talented artists, expanding into advanced tattooing, and continuing to grow both creatively and professionally. My goal is to help redefine what confidence looks like, one face at a time.
